UMKC’s Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) is to assure the safe acquisition, use and disposal of all biological agents at the university. It is the responsibility of the Committee to establish appropriate health and safety policies in accordance with federal regulations (NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules) and guidelines that cover biological safety and evaluate research being conducted at UMKC for biological safety considerations.

IBC Meeting Dates

The IBC meets at least 4 times a year and as necessary- all meetings are mandatory meetings
