The major goal of the Department of Student Auxiliary Services
is to provide the finest quality services we possibly can in support of the
total academic community.

Includes conference and meeting rooms, art gallery, campus welcome center, printing services,
campus information center, lounge, barber shop, catering services and cafeteria, cash dispensing
and stamp machines.

Issues student I.D. cards, disperses class schedules, maintains the campus lost and found,
and serves as a resource for general campus information and campus event information
(located on the main floor lobby of the University Center)

Provides a “home-away-from-home” for over 336 of the University’s full-time students.
- FOOD SERVICE AND VENDING, (816) 235-1417*

Sodexho Marriott is the contract company for providing food service and vending, and
the Department of Student Auxiliary Services is responsible for coordinating and supervising
these services on the total campus.

Office supplies, school supplies, trade books, clothing, study aids and textbooks can be
found at the UMKC Bookstore in the northeast corner of the University Center or in the Health
Sciences Bookstore located in the Dental School.

The 135,000 foot recreation facility includes: Olympic-style, six-lane indoor/ outdoor pool;
5 gymnasia; 4 handball/racquetball courts; championship squash court; 1/8 mile indoor
banked running track; fitness testing center and more!

Team and individual activities, both competitive and non-competitive, are offered for students,
faculty, staff, and members of Swinney Recreation Center.
