Fitness Training Center

Take advantage of the fully equipped SRC Fitness Training Center. The center provides selectorized MEDX resistance training equipment as well as a wide selection of free-weight equipment including plate-loaded Hammer Strength and Avenger. A variety of cardiovascular machines, including Stairmasters, Lifecycles (upright and recumbent), Lifefitness and Precor Elliptical Trainers, New Cybex Arc Trainers, rowers and treadmills, complement the facility. Whether you want to tone up or build up, the FTC has what you need for a complete workout.

Remember, we need 8 people per class for that class to run, so if you are interested in something, please sign up ASAP.  Students can charge to their student account and anyone can register by phone 235-2712.  You can also stop into the SRC office between 8am and 5pm to register.

Class Descriptions

Basic Training: Your muscles will burn and your heart will pound as you move through various workout stations that push your body to the max. Intermediate to Advance.

Super Sculpt: This class is like a group personal training session using weights and resistance bands. All skill levels.

Core Conditioning: Strengthen your core muscles using Resist-A-Ball and isolation techniques. This class works your entire body emphasizing core muscles. All skill levels.

Spin and Stretch: This class starts with 35-40 minutes of medium intensity indoor cycle and finishes with 20-25 minutes of abs and stretching. All fitness levels.

Cycle Reebok: A medium to high-intensity 45- minute cardio workout that targets hips, thighs, and legs. Visualization is used as you climb hills, jump curbs and sprint towards the finish line. All skill levels.

Spin and Sculpt: Get it all in one class! A 35-40 minute moderate to high-intensity spinning workout, followed by classic body sculpting techniques for a complete workout. All skill levels welcome.

Hatha Yoga: All skill levels will benefit from this relaxing, yet challenging yoga workout. The instructor guides beginners through basic poses while challenging advance participants.

Power Yoga: Relax, unwind and get a great cardio workout. This class uses Hatha and Ashtanga techniques and is geared toward intermediate and advance skill levels.

Cardio Kickbox: Get an awesome cardio workout and tone your arms and legs at the same time with this medium to high intensity workout.

All Aerobic Fitness classes are in SRC, room 304. Registration for all classes will take place at the SRC reception desk, room 226. A minimum of eight participants is required to conduct each class.
