Those of us at UMKC and the Swinney Recreation are happy that you have decided to become a member of this exciting facility. Please remember that this is your center. So, enjoy it as often as you can.

Seasonal changes in the operating hours may occur from time to time. You will be notified in advanced of any changes.

Occasionally, the center will be closed or partially closed for maintenance, holidays, recreational uses, or to accommodate selected University-sponsored activities, such as commencement. This will not happen often and if so, you will receive prior notice.

Physical education classes and intramural and recreation activities will be held in the center at various times throughout the day. Schedules for closed areas (those being used for classes, inter-collegiate athletic practice, or campus recreation) are posted at the main desk
