Office Visits
There is no charge for a visit and assessment, provided you are a UMKC student that is enrolled in the current semester. However, you may be charged for laboratory tests or other specialty services. For more information regarding fees please contact Student Health & Wellness at 816-235-6133.
No Show Fee - If you fail to show up for your appointment without proper cancelation, a $5.00 fee may be charged to your student account.
Immunizations
Cost: $130 per dose - three shot series.

Antibody titers
An antibody titer is a laboratory test that measures the presence and amount of antibodies in blood. The level of antibodies in the blood is a reflection of your immunity to that disease.

Student Health and Wellness is able to perform several on-site laboratory tests. Other tests may be ordered through an outside reference lab as needed.

Prescriptions
Students are responsible for paying for any prescriptions issued. Students can use any retail pharmacy to have their prescriptions filled.

Allergy Injections
Cost: $5 each injection, patient provides serum
Tuberculosis Testing with PPD
Many health care and education programs require annual tuberculosis testing to rule out active tuberculosis. Tb testing is done by injecting PPD (Purified Protein Derivative) under the skin and returning to the clinic to have the results read in 48 to 72 hours.
