Who can use the Student Health Pharmacy
We can only fill prescriptions for currently enrolled UMKC students.
Do you have all medications?
The Student Health Pharmacy has most common medications. Other medications may be specially ordered by the pharmacist. We do not carry any controlled substances. Some over-the-counter medications are also available for purchase. Call 816-235-6103 with any special medication questions.
Do I get a discounted price on medications?
The Student Health Pharmacy offers medications that are marked down at a lower rate than most retailers. Therefore, when we acquire medications at a lower price, we pass that savings on to you. Call us for a quote today!
How can I pay for my prescription?
We accept cash, check or you may bill your student account for prescriptions.
Do you bill insurance for prescriptions?
The UMKC Student Health Pharmacy accepts the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan. We also accept many other insurance plans. Please call to see if we take yours!
How do I transfer a prescription from another pharmacy to UMKC Student Health Pharmacy?
Either call or come by the pharmacy with the prescription number, name of the current pharmacy and phone number. Staff will call the pharmacy and transfer your prescription to the Student Health Pharmacy.
Can I call for prescription prices?
We welcome calls about prescription prices and will do our best to quote a price over the phone; if not, we will take your contact information and get back to you as soon as possible.
Can I pick up my prescription when the pharmacy is closed?
By law, a licensed pharmacist must be on duty for a patient to pick up a prescription.
How can I refill my prescription?
Your prescription is assigned a unique prescription number that can be called in to the pharmacy at 816-235-6103 for a refill. You may also e-mail your name and prescription number. Keep in mind that e-mail is not a confidential means of communication.
