Ollie Gates said what he meant and he meant what he said. He said back in February that he would take over the initial phase of construction and fundraising for the Buck O'Neil education and research Center and he has kept his word.

Hugh Zimmer has invested a lot of time in UMKC. As the 2010
Chancellor's medal recipient-the highest non-academic award presented to a
volunteer-he is working to level the playing field, providing a means for
