    Gifts to Downtown Arts Campus bring project to within $10 million of fundraising goal

    The UMKC Foundation said the three new gifts total $4.5 million, bringing private funds raised so far to $38 million. The university needs to raise a total of $48 million in order to approach the state of Missouri for matching funds.

    The $1.1 million gift will establish the David Westfall Matching Gift Program and lead to a bigger pool of endowed scholarships for law students.
