5530 Anthropology Of Women (3)
This class explores such global women's issues as cultural diversity, local and
international politics, the economy and work, education and other ideologies,
etc. We will inquire into women's lives in a variety of societies, during
colonial contact, and in the current post-colonial New World Order to
understand how the study of women through cultural anthropology informs all
areas of life. In addition to the undergraduate course work, graduate students
are required to submit a 15-page term paper at graduate-level quality.
