This course provides an essential introduction to the domestic and
international environment of business. Particular attention is given to the
comparative historical development, cultural, economic, legal and political
context for the conduct of business in the U.S. and abroad. Topic include
international trade, international management, alternative modes of
international operations, international finance and exchange rates,
international marketing, international human resources, international business
strategy, protection of property interest, including worldwide protection of
intellectual property, private contracts, multilateral agreements, dispute
resolution systems and the influence of government trade.
