The course focuses on major factors that influence success in electronic
commerce-E businesses must deliver customer value and make a contribution to
profit. Knowledge and ability to implement initiatives dealing with supply
chain management (manufacturer, distributor, retailer), selecting business
partners, effective marketing (customer acquisition and retention) are some of
the topics covered in the class. The course will also focus on understanding
customer value chain and successful, profitable e-business strategies. Drawing
on success and failures in the market, we will describe key drivers for
developing an e-business that will add up to real value and sustainable profit.
