5720 Pediatric Dentistry Hospital Residency I (1) (1). The clinical activities of the program are conducted at Children's Mercy Hospital. Students spend 24 months (6 semesters) as residents in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Patient care is provided both in the outpatient clinic and to hospital inpatients. Rotations in anesthesia, pediatrics, and the emergency room are included in the residency. Residents participate on several multidisciplinary teams at the hospital including the Cleft Palate Team, Crainiofacial Anomalies Team, Hemophilia Team, Cancer Care Team, Sickle Cell Anemia Team, and the Newborn Intensive Care Follow-up Clinic.
