5546 Literacy Development/Biliteracy (3) Class will investigate current research and practice in literacy development at home and in the classroom in general and on biliteracy in particular. Students will research their own theories and practices in language learning and teaching. Inquiry into early literacy development, adult literacy development, literacy development in an English as a second language classroom and literacy development in multilingual-multicultural class will be conducted. The course is one of the requirements for an endorsement to teach in an English as a second language classroom.
