5563 Multicultural Perspectives In Education (3)
This course provides an opportunity for students to engage in a critical and
in-depth study of multicultural education. Students will examine current
theoretical, conceptual, ideological, and political positions that help frame
the multicultural education debate. The ultimate goal of the course is to help
students develop critical and multiple perspectives about education in a
democratic society with the aim of transforming curricular and pedagogical
practice. Prerequisites: EDUC 428 or consent of instructor.
