5557 Qualitative Methods In Nursing Research (3)

This course is designed to provide the student with the skills necessary to the understanding and conduct of qualitative research. Various methods, including ethnographic, phenomenologic, historic, grounded theory and aesthetic inquiry are presented and discussed. Emphasis is placed upon the appropriateness of each method for different research problems. This course consists of three hours of lecture/discussion per week. Prerequisites/requisites: Nursing 550 and 555.
