The fundamentals of free surface flow are investigated. This includes the study of the principles of continuity,Momentum and Energy;Specific Energy,Discharge and Force; Steady-Gradually varied and Steady,Rapidly Varied Flow;Hydraulic Structures; and, the derivation of, and general methods for solution of the 1-dimensional, unsteady St. Venant Equations. Prerequisite: CE 351
