Internships and Other OpportunitiesThrough the resources of the metropolitan media and publishing houses, as well as the on-campus facilities of the national literary journal New Letters and literary publisher BkMk Press, students may gain experience in writing and editing. With the approval of the supervising faculty, as well as the principal undergraduate adviser, students may intern with these media for credit. They may also serve on the staff of the student literary journal, Number One. The Undergraduate English Council, a social club focused on literary activities, offers additional opportunities, such as open-mic nights and an annual symposium in conjunction with its Literature for Life week.
