Bachelor of Science in Biology
The B.S. degree program is a rigorous curriculum designed for students interested in preparing for graduate studies or a professional school, or pursuing entry level employment in a science-related field.

In addition to the general education requirements outlined above, students pursuing the B.S. degree in biology must meet the following requirements:
A. Biology Course Requirements

5. A total of 42 credit hours of biology courses must be completed with grades of C- or better. At least 26
of these must be at the 300- to 400-level. A minimum of 21 credit hours of biology courses must be
taken from the School of Biological Sciences. Additional credit hours of
biology courses may be selected from the courses listed above or other biology majors courses. One laboratory course must be writing intensive.
