394 The World Of "Film Noir" (3)

The course offers an historical survey of the development of "film noir" as a major film genre. Particular attention is given to the social/ political conditions of the 1950s that contributed to both the rise and decline in popularity of "film noir" during the Cold War, as well as the film genre's revival in the "neo-noirs" of the 1970s.
