104C Advanced Academic English Reading For Non-Native Speakers Iv (3) This course focuses on preparing students to deal effectively with sophisticated academic reading materials by guiding them in the development of a conscious and reflective approach toward reading. It emphasizes advanced readig skills of interpretation, inference, critical analysis, evaluation and application. There will be frequent exercises addressing the acquisition and practice of study skills and collaborative academic work. Prerequisites: Completion of English 103C with a grade of B or better or Applied Language Institute approval. Offered: Fall/Winter/Summer Letter grade assigned.
