104G Advanced Academic English Grammar For Non-Native Speakers Iv (3)
This course focuses on the analytical understanding and application of English
grammar. Students will be expected to observe usage patterns of the English
language in a combination of both normative and prescriptive grammars
appropriate for academic English application. There will be frequent exercises
emphasizing mastery of complex grammar structures including all verb tenses,
dependent clauses, modals, and unreal conditionals, and of the relationship
between ideas and the construction of sentences in academic discourse.
Prerequisites: Completion of English 103G with a grade of B or better or
Applied Language Institute approval. Offered: Fall/Winter/Summer Letter grade
assigned.
