225A English II For Non-Native Speakers (3)
The study and practice of expository writing and analytical and critical
reading geared to the needs of students for whom English is not the first
language. The course emphasizes the development and integration of all areas of
language comprehension and production. The writing focus is on kinds of
organization, diction, style, etc. used in academic writing in the United
States. Frequent research papers. Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of
English 110 or English 110A and sophomore standing. Applied Language Institute
approval. Offered: Fall/Winter/Summer.
