300CO Cluster Course: Issues in Death and Dying (3)
This course will introduce students to several literary
genres as well as to the techniques of careful reading and
clear writing. Students in this course will be exposed to a
broad selection of texts, which will be discussed individually
and as they relate various approaches to the subject of death
and dying. By focusing on this subject from a literary
perspective students will be able to study the topic from the
inside, using a more subjective, emotional orientation which
complements the other two approaches. In the common sessions
we will focus on how these attitudes are conveyed and what
effects they have on the reader.
