465 Contemporary Issues In Urban Public Health (3)
This course examines current issues in urban public health and the policies and
programs designed to address those issues. Issues of interest include treatment
of drug addiction, the special health problems of the very young and very old,
problems of urban public hospitals, policies towards AIDs treatments, as well
as other emerging issues. Using local health officials as guest speakers, the
course will examine how these issues affect the Kansas City area in particular.
