Seasonal Influenza/Vaccine Information
With the weather turning colder and fall setting in, that can only mean one thing–flu season is just around the corner! Luckily, there are simple precautions you can take to keep yourself healthy, like washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, and covering your coughs and sneezes; but getting your flu shot is the best preventative measure.
Flu shot clinics have been scheduled for Volker campus (clinics at Hospital Hill are pending). Shots are $15 for students and can be paid in cash, check, or charged to your student account.
The clinics are as follows:
• October 6, 11:00 am-2:00 pm in the Student Union room 302
• October 7, 11:00 am-2:00 pm in the University Center Alumni Room
• October 20, 11:00 am-2:00 pm in the Law School
Students may also do a walk-in immunization at Student Health and Wellness beginning October 11.
Free flu shots for the UM Choice Health Care Program (Coventry) will be available at the upcoming Faculty & Staff Wellness Fairs:
• Wednesday, 3 Nov from 10 am-2 pm in Pierson Auditorium, University Center
• Thursday, 4 Nov from 9 am-1 pm at the Health Sciences Building, rooms 4301-4304
Be sure to bring your ID and Coventry card.
Faculty and staff not on the Coventry plan may get flu shots for $18 at Student Health and Wellness.
