Subcommittee Structure
The subcommittees are special purpose groups, consisting of Student Union Planning Committee members, to deal with specific tasks:
| Marketing/Publicity: |
| Timeline: The subcommittee is responsible for getting the word out to campus community by conducting town hall meeting, open forums, etc. |
| Members: Teddy Abdelmalek, Chair, Cindy Harrison, Co-Chair, Nick Clark, Anupartha Howlader, Sean McClain, Paris Saunders, Paul Shang, Bob Simmons, Jeff Traiger. |
| Design/Programming: |
| Timeline: The subcommittee will make key decisions determining what goes into the Student Union. |

| Technology: |
| Timeline: Initially, limited front-end involvement (such as, wireless connectivity to the building, design standards, etc.); increases after design and operation teams’ planning and programming are initiated. |

| Sustainability: |
| Timeline: Subcommittee members will develop a common language and distribute to the Planning Committee. This subcommittee will receive proposals and determine if the bar can be raised within the budget allocated for a LEED certified building. |

| Operations: |
| Timeline: The subcommittee’s involvement increases during the design build. The Subcommittee determines how the building is going to function, as well as future planning. |
