The Student Union Marketing/Publicity Committee is hosting Information Meetings on the New Student Union

The Student Union Marketing Subcommittee is offering a series of Town Hall meetings, open to the public, to provide information and answer questions about the new Student Union Building. The first meetings will be held in July and September.

What is in the New Student Union? What services?
The new building will house a 110 thousand square foot multi-purpose space. Currently, students are in discussions about: Dining, A Food Court, Rooms for Student Organizations, Open Performance Space, Lounge Seating, Print & Copy Service, Gaming Area, Meeting Rooms, Retail Space, Student-run Radio Station and many other offices and amenities.

The Cashiers, Business and administrative offices will remain in the existing Administrative Center building—with the exception of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Development and Director of the University Center. You Decide : You Design

I have a busy schedule and don’t have time to join a committee, but I still want to participate. What should I do?
That's great! Explore some of our other opportunities: Late Summer and early Fall Semester, we kick off with a Town Hall Meeting, an evening extravaganza to listen to what’s new and get answers to questions. On top of that, there's a Virtual Open House. So, if you want to review Design/Build Proposals, meet committee members, or share your ideas and more, then please join us!

How can I be a part of the Student Union Committee Leadership Team?
Applications will be available Fall Semester. We'll begin interviews late September. Anyone can apply, and we'd love to have you!

When will the building be open?
Fall Semester 2011
When will construction be finished?
Keep in mind that a number of factors can affect major construction projects, including materials, deliveries and inclement weather. Therefore, all deadlines are best estimates.
What will the project cost?
The total budget for the new Student Union is $38.4 million.

The architects for the project are yet to be determined; however, we have received the following Statement of Qualification proposals from:
