The Student Union Marketing Subcommittee is offering a series of Town Hall meetings, open to the public, to provide information and answer questions about the new Student Union Building. The first meetings will be held in July and September.
| What is in the New Student Union? What services? The new building will house a 110 thousand square foot multi-purpose space. Currently, students are in discussions about: Dining, A Food Court, Rooms for Student Organizations, Open Performance Space, Lounge Seating, Print & Copy Service, Gaming Area, Meeting Rooms, Retail Space, Student-run Radio Station and many other offices and amenities. The Cashiers, Business and administrative offices will remain in the existing Administrative Center building—with the exception of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Development and Director of the University Center. | When will construction be finished? Keep in mind that a number of factors can affect major construction projects, including materials, deliveries and inclement weather. Therefore, all deadlines are best estimates. |
| What will the project cost? The total budget for the new Student Union is $38.4 million. |
