Welcome to the University of Missouri University Archives
The University Archives is the repository for records of enduring value officially made by the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus, and for other materials of historical value related to the functions of the University. Holdings include: official records and publications from any unit of the University; records and publications of University affiliated organizations; records of student organizations, student papers and publications; personal and professional papers of faculty and faculty publications; oral histories, films, photographs and negatives, scrapbooks, and news clipping file with a partial index to articles, relating to the activities, events, and history of the University. Records are arranged by record groups and date from 1895 to the present.

Major types of items in the archives include:
- University of Kansas City and University of Missouri-Kansas City theses and dissertations
- catalogs
- student, staff, and alumni annuals, newspapers, and literary magazines and journals
- school and departmental journals and occasional publications
- faculty publications
- public relations brochures and press releases
- scrapbooks, indices, and reference files on university departments and colleges, alumni, students, faculty and staff, the campus, and university events
- photographs, videos and film, and audio recordings
Collections of special interest are: documents relating to the Lincoln and Lee University movement (predecessor to the University of Kansas City); Materials of the professional schools (Law, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and the Conservatory of Music) prior to their mergers with the University; The personal and professional papers of E. Grey Dimond, Provost of the School of Medicine and Special Consultant to the Chancellor, and his wife, Mrs. Mary Clark Dimond; and the Edgar Snow Collections. The Edgar Snow Collections are comprised of Snow's personal and working papers, films, and photographs; materials from various Snow contemporaries and a library collection that provides additional research for Chinese history from the revolutionary period (1930's) to the present.
