Flarsheim, UMKC benefactor, who resided for many years in a home just south of the Residence Hall. When Mr. Flarsheim passed away, he left a $9 million endowment to the university for campus beautification. Flarsheim Hall was constructed at a cost of $29.9 million and is the largest building on campus.
