Group web editing training sessions

University Communications has also developed a few basic training modules using SharePoint Designer, the website editing software supported on our campus. To request a formal training session for your department, please E-mail us.

Web Basics 1

This training covers basic tasks such as logging into the campus web servers, making text edits, preparing documents and images for the web, moving documents and images to the web server, inserting an image, creating links, previewing your site changes, and moving edited files to the live web server.

Web Basics 2

This training builds on the skills learned in Web Basics 1 and takes them a step farther, teaching you how to plan, create and delete pages on your website as well as how to work with tables. Time at the end of the training is set aside for questions and one-on-one help.
