Visit UMKC

There are several ways you can visit campus and learn more about UMKC. Most options include a UMKC overview presentation that highlights our history, academic programs, support services, admission requirements, tuition, scholarships and more, along with a walking tour of campus.

Academic Open Houses

For High School Students

An extended version of our weekday visit, our academic open house is a great opportunity for you to learn specifics about your major of choice and meet staff and/or faculty. The visit includes an overview presentation of UMKC and a walking tour of campus.

Academic Introductions

For Transfer Students

Want to get a tour and ask questions about your potential major? You can schedule a weekday visit for general UMKC information and/or connect with a representative from your academic area who can talk about degree requirements and answer specific questions you may have.

Preview Day

For High School and Transfer Students

Offered several times a semester, Preview Days are comprehensive, half-day programs where you will not only have a UMKC overview presentation and tour, but also speak with representatives from academic programs and student organizations. Register for one of this semester's Preview Days:

February 15
March 12
April 15

Weekday Visit

For High School and Transfer Students

During a Weekday Visit, which is over an hour and a half, you will learn about UMKC through the overview presentation and take a walking tour of campus led by a current student. Register for a visit starting at 9:30 a.m., 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. Note that the 4 p.m. visit is only available when classes are in session.

Group Visit

If you have a group of ten or more students who would like to visit campus, please review our group visit policy. We will do our best to build a customized visit based on the availability of date, time and activities.
