A walking tour is definitely the best way to experience the sights and sounds of the beautiful campus that is UMKC. See our fantastic gym, visit the famous Epperson House and get a glimpse of student life on our campus. The 45-minute trek helps familiarize you with the history, activities, and hallmarks of UMKC.

We also offer tailored tours--abbreviated versions of the walking tour that focus on specific areas on campus that interest you, such as the buildings where your classes will be held. We strongly encourage you to schedule a campus visit while you are making your college decision. A visit to the UMKC campus can help you make an informed decision.

We want your visit to provide you with as much information as you need to make that decision. Your visit to campus might include talking with at least one faculty member in your area of academic interest, a tour of the campus, and time to meet with a staff member in the Office of Admissions. You may also want to visit the Residence Hall and the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office.

Additional appointments including performing arts auditions and meetings with athletic coaches can also be a part of your visit. We want to do everything we can to ensure that you enjoy your campus visit and leave feeling excited about the possibility of attending UMKC.
