    Communiversity Catalog Available Now!

    The NEW Fall 2011 Communiversity catalog is available now. Our fall semester features over 325 classes in everything from Sign Language to Intro to Painting and from Buddhism to Start Running. Class fees and registration fees are waived with a valid student number. You can register online at www.umkc.edu/commu.

    Roos Give Back

    Departing from University Playhouse. All students are invited to participate in UMKC's annual fall service day! Participants will visit KCMO schools and help paint and clean classrooms. A barbeque lunch and free shirt are provided for all participants.

    Kick off the most exciting year of your life with tips and advice from seasoned students presenting Show-Me sessions on Survival, Social Life & Leadership, Support, and Masculinity. Find out who runs this place and develop your plan for success, then Discover KC on a tour of the Main St. MAX. Show-Me Success starts bright and early at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 20th in the Student Union, and ends with free ice cream at MSA's Get the Scoop Ice Cream Social around 4:30 p.m. Free lunch provided.     Student Veterans Welcome & Resources for Success Seminar
    3 - 6 p.m.

    University Center, Pierson Auditorium. This program is for all student Veterans, particularly those who are receiving GI Bill benefits. This program will provide you the opportunity to engage with many of the individuals on campus that provide support to your education goals. The VA Certifying official will provide an update of GI Bill benefits and the process to get certified for benefits. THere will be a discussion about transfer credits of which Veterans may not be aware. An officer of the Student Veterans of America will discuss the role of SVA and benefits of membership, as well as opportunities through the Mission Continues. The Veterans Transition Navigator from the KC-BANCS STEM Scholarship program will present on this opportunity for students pursuing a major/career in the STEM fields, and the President of the UMKC Student Veterans Organization will provide information about the organization and how to get involved.
