Apartment Move-In
Residents of Oak Place Apartments may start moving in after 8 a.m.

6-Year Med School Program Move-In
Students enrolled in the 6-Year Medical School program will move into Oak Street Hall.

FRIDAY AUG. 17
Residence Hall Move-In
Students move into Oak Street and Johnson Residence Halls starting at 8 a.m. See move-in schedule for assigned times.
Oops! I Forgot
12 p.m. - 4 p.m.Many students quickly realize on their second day that they may have forgotten some things at home. This program was created to help students take care of any last minute shopping that may need to occur or to just allow them to get off campus and explore some of Kansas City. Shuttle buses will be offering free rides from campus to some local stores and businesses: Ward Parkway Mall (Target, Trader Joes, etc.), Price Chopper, and Country Club Plaza. There will be two buses running routes throughout the day every 30 minutes. This event is free! Meet in front of the Student Union for pick up.

Residential Life Mandatory Floor Meetings
6 p.m.All students living on campus must attend these events to meet their Resident Assistant or Apartment Living Assistant, find out about hall programs and policies, and complete a roommate contract for a smooth transition to college. Check with your RA for exact starting time. Free pizza will be provided!
Late Night with the Greeks
8:30 - 11:30 p.m.Durwood Soccer Stadium. All students are welcome to come and kick off the new academic year with a bang! There will be activities such as inflatables, water games, BINGO, and many more! Prizes will include Roo Gear, gift cards to local establishments, and grand prizes of a UMKC Bookstore scholarship and an iPod!

Roos Give Back
8 a.m. - noonAll students are welcome to come and kick off the new academic year with this service event! Students will be volunteering at various local area Kansas City, Missouri District schools. Please join the Office of Student Involvement in giving back to our local community through service and show that Roos do give back!

APC Day at the K
6 p.m.Baseball, food, and fun with your fellow Roos - what more can you ask for? Join us as we cheer on our home team, the KC Royals, as they go against the Chicago White Sox. This event is free, and you must RSVP by calling the Office of Student Involvement at 816-235-1407. First preference will be given to the students who attended the Roos Give Back event. This event is full, but students can be added to the wait list.
