Trans World Airlines (TWA) Collections

The records and related papers related to Trans World Airlines (TWA) has first and foremost  come from the TWA Museum (with the Platte County, MO, Historical Society), with special acknowledgement of Marie Trainer of the TWA Museum. Also a major contributor has been Ona Gieschen who conducted oral interviews of TWA employees, helped with soliciting donations, and has coordinated the arrangement, microfilming and digitization of the TWA Skyliners. Lastly we acknowledge and thank the American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum which has transferred to WHMC-KC records and other materials they acquired because of the merger of TWA with American Airlines in 2002.
