Gordon-Cox Family Papers (KC0156)
Lenna Ruth Gordon Lichty has traced her family back to John Gordon, a Revolutionary War veteran. The purpose of the research was to trace a family line back to the Revolutionary War so Mrs. Lichty could apply for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The majority of these papers is the correspondence done and copies of the documents found to prove the lineage. The papers contain anecdotes and reminiscences about family members in the form of short stories. Also included are clippings; death, birth, and marriage certificates; and photographs relating to family history. ca. 1700-1980.
