Rogers Family Papers (KC0190)
James H. Rogers (1835-1927) and Ossian Romeo Rogers (1844-1920), were born to Fordyce M. and Chloe Rogers in Stockton, Illinois. In 1865, James Rogers moved to Holden, Johnson County, Missouri, to start a general store. Several years later, his brother O.R. Rogers, joined him. O.R. Rogers married Mittie Lavina Graves and lived in Holden until his death in 1920. Their son Herbert also worked as a merchant in Holden. A grandson, Fordice M. Rogers moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and worked for the Commerce Bank, rising to a Vice President at the time of his retirement.
This collection consists of photocopies of a family history compiled for Mr. Fordyce M. Rogers. 1650-1986.
