City Movie Center Records (KC239)
The City Movie Center, an alternative film theater in Kansas City, was formed in the summer of 1980 with the goal to maintain an "eclectic approach to film exhibition": documentaries mingled with animated children's films, experimental classics, Hollywood favorites, foreign films, American independents, and films about Blues and Jazz -- films that aren't being shown anywhere else in Kansas City.
The Records consists of correspondence, programs, flyers, and newspaper articles related to the theater. 1981-1987
