The Christian Church [Disciples of Christ] denomination has many church sanctuaries throughout the Kansas City region. Without question, however, the most impressive of all these facilities is the Country Club Christian Church at 6100 Ward Parkway. The initial structure, shown here, housed a chapel and Sunday School rooms. Begun early in the 1920s, the entire complex of church facilities was essentially complete by the time of the picture below which shows the added sanctuary and tall bell tower.
