ReVisioning Women Project

The Women’s Center of the University of Missouri- Kansas City is proud to present the ReVisioning Women Project (RWP). The mission of RWP is to:RWP

  • Promote healthy body image in women and girls, as well as broader definitions of beauty;
  • Increase media literacy and promote healthy choices;
  • Increase awareness of local and national resources for women and girls;
  • Create ongoing community networks and support groups.

Women’s Center staff members are currently working with an advisory group to update the workshop curriculum and hope to begin offering workshops again in Spring 2009. RWP also co-sponsors annual events such as Love Your Body Day in October and National Eating Disorder Awareness Week (known as “Everybody is Beautiful Week” here at UMKC) in February, as well as other programs on body image, media literacy, and eating disorders. See our Calendar for details of upcoming programs.
