What I love about Kansas City: Kansas City always feels like home to me when I visit. It has a down-to-earth feel to the city and people are welcoming! UMKC is so close to some great hot spots like The Country Club Plaza and Power and Light. If you want to get out of the city, they have so many little communities surrounding the area that you will always find things to do with friends.
Advice for your college search: Visit all kinds of college campuses. You may be surprised at what is important to you in your college. If you can’t visit, go online and see if they have a virtual tour. Ask questions! If there is something that you do not understand, just ask! We know it can seem overwhelming and confusing; that is what we are here for.
