Visits for Transfer Students

Transferring from another college or university can seem like a tedious process. Luckily, we’re the experts, and we’re here to help.

As a transfer student, you likely have different questions and concerns than a first-time college student. That’s why we created visits especially for you — to take the guesswork out of the transfer process.

During a transfer visit, we’ll answer your questions about:

  • Selecting a major
  • Scholarships specifically for transfers
  • Plus anything else you can think of!

We also offer online resources to help you see how your credits are going to transfer.

  • In general, you can use Transferology to check into how your credits will transfer.
  • Some Kansas City area community colleges have special agreements with UMKC. If you have any questions about these agreements, email transfers@umkc.edu
