Molly Killilea originally went to school for Speech Pathology, graduating from Kansas State University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Fall 2021. However, after pursuing a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, she realized that the path was not the right fit for her. Molly then pursued a career in higher education and stepped into the role of academic advisor in Fall 2023. Alongside advising, she is currently taking classes to complete a Master of Science in Learning Technologies and Design through Mizzou.

“I love building relationships with students and having the opportunity to be a helping hand. It's oddly specific, but I also really like making plans in PlanMyDegree -- watching all the little boxes check off is very satisfying. However, the part of my work that resonates with me the most is helping students make sense of complex information and making degree requirements feel more accessible. Seeing their confidence grow or the moment when things click is incredibly rewarding!”

In her free time, Molly enjoys reading and crafting, but most of all traveling, and has been to 21 different countries.
