Who should submit a proposal? All attendees are encouraged to submit a proposal regardless of industry or point in their career. Our goal is to have as many unique voices represented as possible. If you’re on the fence about submitting a proposal, just do it! You are also welcome to contact the review committee at careerservices@umkc.edu with questions or for encouragement!

When and where will the conference be held?
When: Thursday, July 20, 2023
Where: UMKC Volker Campus, Student Union, room 401
When can I register to attend? Registration opens May 3, 2023
How long should my presentation be? We are asking that presenters be able to present for 45-50 minutes. This should include time for presentation activities, Q&A, and group discussions.
How do I submit a proposal? Fill out the attached word document or fillable PDF and email to careerservices@umkc.edu.
What is the deadline to submit a proposal? March 8th at 11:59pm DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 31, 2023 at 11:59 PM
When will I be notified if my proposal has been accepted? May 5th by End of Business
What questions are asked on the submission form and what information do I need to provide? See Sample Proposal Form.
What types of things with the review committee be looking for?
● Diverse representation of co-presenters; mix of presenters from more than one organization
● Interactive and include audience engagement in meaningful ways
● Align with content tracks
● Focus on helping attendees solve a pressing problem
● Explore innovative new ideas, analyze trends, and prepare attendees for the future
● Give attendees next action steps, tips, tools and processes that can be applied right away
What is the policy regarding registration and reimbursement? The review committee will consider this on a case by case basis depending on the presenters potential travel needs and arrangements.
