CONSVTY 133A Beginning Composition For Non-Composition Majors I

An introductory course in music composition, with exercises in instrumentation, notation, orchestration, form, melodic construction, harmony, counterpoint, and rhythm. Disscussion and analysis of current works, trends and techniques in music composition. Final project is an original composition. A weekly one-hour lab is required.
