Courts and Culture in the Middle Ages

This cluster course offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the Middle Ages, focusing on medieval cultures in Europe. Arranged around a series of themes,the cluster will read a variety of documentary and literary texts in inestigate not only the ""high culture"" of the courts but also the interactions of people from various social backgrounds in Western Europe. May be taken for French major with permission of instructor. Cross listed with ENG. 400CF and HIST 400CF.
