Admission requirements

  • All students interested in obtaining a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering must earn an ACT score of 25 in Math and a composite ACT score of 24.
  • Transfer students must have a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) at each institution and a final term GPA of 2.0.
  • Students who do not meet the above criteria may petition for admission

  • Electrical and computer engineers solve problems and design things like cell phones, cell phone towers, satellites, broadband antennas, radar systems, RFID, Ironman suits, biometrics, (BCI) brain computer interface,  computer devices that use VLSI, robots, security systems, control systems and power distribution systems to name a few.
  • The Fast Track program offers students an opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering in four years and the master’s degree the fifth year.
  • With close access to the fourth largest engineering community, many firms hire students to work part-time while they go to school.


  • Many of our adjunct faculty work as professional engineers in the area and provide real-life expertise to our students.
  • Faculty provide many different research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in several areas, includingbiometrics, BCI, VLSI, radar, communications disaster relief, to name a few.
