Lona Davenport serves as the senior diversity program coordinator within the Division of Diversity and Inclusion, supervising the diversity ambassador student peer educator program, coordinating and facilitating diversity trainings for students, staff and faculty, as well as coordinating events and initiatives in collaborative efforts between her office and campus and community partners. She also serves in the roles of a certified Green Dot Trainer and Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator.

Davenport attended the University of Iowa where she earned a B.B.A. in Management, International Business Certificate, Minors in German and International Studies, and a master's degree in Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Student Development with an emphasis in Student Development in Post-Secondary Education. Davenport has worked at Iowa State University, as an instructor for ISU’s College of Education, Bystander Intervention Trainer, Student Org. Advisor, and Residence Hall Director. During this time, she also served as a state-certified Advocate and Shelter Counselor for the local assault care center.
