Event and Meeting Spaces
Versatile spaces to suit all your meeting and event needs.
Our campus offers a range of flexible meeting spaces suitable for everything from intimate seminars to large-scale conferences. While our primary focus is on serving our students, we are pleased to support community initiatives whenever possible. We regularly host and collaborate with various local groups, and we encourage you to inquire about available opportunities for your events. Please note that our priority is to accommodate our campus community, which may affect space availability.
We invite you to reach out to explore how our facilities might meet your needs.
Find Your Space
Each year, we host alumni, businesses and community groups from across the region. In addition to the spaces listed below, we offer multiple classrooms and other spaces throughout our campus.
Diastole Scholars’ Center
Located on our Health Sciences campus at 2501 Holmes St., Diastole Scholars Center was once the personal home of cardiologist and founder of the UMKC School of Medicine, Dr. E. Grey Dimond and his wife, Mary. It is now a gathering space with a wide variety of stimulating and inspirational spaces. When guests step into the building, they enter another world filled with treasures: artifacts, mementos from Dimond’s travels, historic documents, gifts and more.
Pierson Auditorium
Pierson Auditorium, in the Atterbury Student Success Center on the Volker Campus, is a multi-purpose space that can be flexible in set-up and can hold up to 500 people for meetings and events.
Student Union
The Student Union sits in the heart of the UMKC Volker campus. A place where students can study and socialize. The facility features marketplace dining, retail space, meeting rooms, a multi-purpose space and a performing arts/movie theater.
Administrative Center Conference Facilities
With up-to-date technology and Zoom capabilities, our six meeting rooms in the Administrative Center are ready to help make your university-sponsored meeting a success.
