Greetings from the officers and members of the UMKC Faculty Senate. The Faculty Senate at UMKC has an important role to play in helping the university accomplish its threefold mission of teaching, research, and service. We support the university by serving as the voice of the faculty. We represent our colleagues to our administration. our students, the university system and its Board of Curators, and the Kansas City community. Each year the Faculty Senate considers issues that affect the professional lives of our colleagues and the growth and success of the university. We advise the administration, participate in the planning and implementing of policies, procedures, and programs, and inform and facilitate the work of our fellow faculty members.
